Stand two 55-year-olds side by side and sometimes you'd swear you're looking at two different decades. One's stiff, soft, and already talking about what his body used to be able to do. The other's still adding load, still moving like it costs him nothing. Same number of years on the clock. Completely different outcome.
The gap isn't genetics for most men. It's decades of small decisions nobody was tracking. What he ate. Whether he kept asking anything hard of his body, or gave up the second something got uncomfortable and called it age.
Rotting is not the same as aging. Aging is the years passing. Rotting is a choice made daily and compounded for decades, wrapped in a story that makes it sound inevitable so nobody has to take responsibility for it.
I'm 55, pill-free and pain-free, still pulling muscle-ups, still adding load. That's not luck. That's what happens when you refuse to lower the standard just because the calendar says you're allowed to.
You don't get to pick how many years you get. You get to pick which of those two men you become. Start with what you put in your body. The Farm Boy Eating Code is where I'd start.
